Women in STEM Day is an annual event hosted by the SWE. We invite over 120 high school girls from the St. Louis area to campus to explore STEM in the context of higher education. This is a two-day event with the Friday night portion taking place on the South 40 and including ice breakers, dinner in BD, an a cappella performance, and an engineering design challenge. There is an optional overnight stay on Friday night during which girls will stay with underclassmen living on the South 40. Saturday‘s events include lab demos with professors, an activities fair, a keynote speaker, panelists, and the Engineering Olympics! The event took place on February 23, 2019. We had the pleasure of having our Keynote Speaker, Christie Cox, join us and the girls this year!
